On May 26th, after a welcome ceremony at the headquarters of the General Staff in Warsaw, LtGen Ahmed Salah Gaida met with General Franciszek G±gor and took part in bilateral talks.
During the talks Polish side presented Polish involvement in operations abroad as well as technical transformation and modernization of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland.
LtGen. Ahmed Salah Gaida stressed in his speech that his visit to Poland is the sign the importance the Armed Forces of Algeria attach to developing relations with PAF. He also expressed hope that the first meeting of Chiefs of General Staff of both countries was a good start for further cooperation. Chief of General Staff Gen. Franciszek G±gor pointed out at the end of the meeting that broader cooperation is possible in the military, scientific and technical fields but they should be sanctioned by reciprocal agreements.
On 27th May LtGen. Ahmed Salah met as well with Minister of National Defence Bogdan Klich.
